My Favourite Squamish Wedding Venues
Squamish has no shortage of incredible wedding venues, from waterfront settings and forested retreats to mountain lodges with some of the Sea to Sky’s most spectacular views. After years of filming weddings here, these are some of my favourite Squamish wedding venues and the places I know particularly well.
The Sea to Sky Gondola is a dream setting for a wedding film, with sweeping views of Howe Sound, the Stawamus Chief and surrounding Coast Mountains. From the gondola ride up to the summit, forested trails and open mountain viewpoints, there’s an incredible variety of scenery to work into your film. The changing light and weather at elevation can also add an incredible sense of atmosphere, making every celebration here feel distinctly Squamish.

Sea to sky gondola
Sunwolf Riverside Resort has a naturally relaxed, intimate feel that translates beautifully on film. Set along the Cheakamus and Cheekye Rivers in Brackendale, the property brings together lush forest, rushing water, mountain views and rustic spaces that give a wedding film plenty of texture and atmosphere. It’s a setting where the moments between the big ones — wandering through the trees, gathering around the fire, or simply taking in the landscape — can become some of the most memorable parts of the film.

Cheakamus Centre offers a more secluded, natural backdrop for a wedding film, with towering forest, open meadows, mountain views and plenty of space to let the day unfold naturally. The setting has a wonderfully understated quality on camera — intimate moments feel at home among the trees, while wider shots reveal the scale of the surrounding landscape. It’s a great fit for couples looking for something relaxed, outdoorsy and distinctly Squamish.

Cheakamus Centre
Furry Creek Golf and Country Club offers a beautiful mix of manicured grounds and rugged coastal mountain scenery, giving a wedding film plenty of variety without needing to travel between locations. The fairways, forest and surrounding mountains create a natural backdrop for portraits and quieter moments, while the elevated views add that unmistakable Sea to Sky sense of scale. It’s a particularly strong setting for couples who want their film to feel both polished and connected to the landscape.

Furry Creek
Glacier Valley Farm has a wonderfully natural, laid-back feel that works beautifully on film. The open farmland creates space for wide shots of the surrounding mountains, while the trees, fields and rustic details give the day a more intimate, lived-in feel. It’s the kind of setting where there’s no need to manufacture moments — the landscape and relaxed atmosphere naturally create opportunities for candid, cinematic footage.
